Instructions

  • Rinse the rice in a colander under cold water until the water is clear. While doing so, gently massage the rice with your hands; the agitation will aid in the removal of additional starch from the rice.

  • Bring to a boil the rinsed rice, sugar, and salt.

  • Once the water has reached a boil, reduce the heat to low and whisk constantly.
