The ideal beverage for a hot summer day is this pineapple copra rum slush! These quick fruity drinks can be made in a matter of minutes with just three ingredients, and they’ll go over well at pool parties or any event with a tropical theme.
Have you ever prepared a pineapple-infused rum slush?
You’ll understand why this new recipe has quickly become my favorite summer beverage after taking just one taste of this coconut pineapple rum slush!
There’s a good reason why pineapple and coconut are often combined. The smooth, somewhat nutty coconut taste blends well with the juicy, acidic notes of pineapple. The most popular alcoholic rendition of this taste combination is the pina colada, but this rum-infused pineapple slush recipe is set to challenge it.
This slush, which is made with whole, fresh pineapple and coconut-infused rum, tastes like summer in a cup! All you’re lacking is a day without obligations and a trip to the beach.
Looking for a recipe for a non-alcoholic beverage using this traditional tropical blend? My Pina Colada Milkshakes are really tasty and simple to prepare. Did you know that the Pia Colada is the national beverage of Puerto Rico? That is awesome!
What am I lacking?
This rum-based alcoholic slush recipe simply calls for three ingredients.
- an ice cube
- Cut a fresh pineapple into cubes for simple mixing.
- copra rum
The ideal approach to garnish the completed drink is in the same manner I serve frozen Bahama Mamas: with more pineapple slices and cherries. When I want a small taste of vacation at home, those little finishing touches are really welcomed. Even various types of fruit are acceptable.
Creating a Rum Slush
- Once you get the ideal frozen drink consistency, add all the ingredients to your blender and puree until combined.
- Add ice, rum, and as much of the pineapple as you can to your blender if you can’t fit all the ingredients in at once. Then add the remaining pineapple and mix again to incorporate after pulverizing the ice to make extra room in the blender.
- 30 seconds was more than enough time in a high-speed blender to get the right slush consistency. Blending the items thoroughly might take up to two minutes in lower-powered blenders.
- In large hurricane glasses or tall glasses, pour the rum slush. Add additional pineapple wedges and maraschino cherries as a garnish!
Do I need to utilize a fresh pineapple in its entirety?
For this recipe, you don’t need to peel, core, and chop a whole pineapple. To replace the fresh pineapple in this rum slush recipe, a fantastic alternative is to purchase the rings or cubes that have been peeled and chopped. It takes less time and effort and tastes just as good.
Can I use frozen pineapple in this slush recipe?
Yes, frozen pineapple is a great alternative to fresh pineapple. In the event that you use frozen pineapple, be sure to exclude the ice. In order to get the ideal slushy texture, you will also need to add more pineapple than is specified in the recipe.
Nota: A pineapple rum slush with added sweetness develops when the ice is left out and replaced with just frozen pineapple.
Do I have to use copra rum?
No. In this rum slush, you may use whatever rum you prefer. Even though you won’t taste coconut, any white rum tastes wonderful when mixed with ice and pineapple. For a touch of tropical flavor, you may taste-test and add some coconut water, coconut milk, or cream of coconut.
Not a rum fan? Use vodka or tequila to make this drunken pineapple slushie instead!
Recipes for pineapple
While we’re talking about pineapple-flavored drinks, I should remind you how delicious this Pineapple Coconut Silk Smoothie is on a hot day. Bonus: It’s healthier than any milkshake and dairy-free! Additionally, if you wish, you may use ordinary milk or almond milk in it.
After preparing your pineapple slush, if you have any leftover pineapple, preserve it and prepare some grilled pineapple for dessert! For a cool, sweet, summertime treat, mix it with some ice cream or eat it by itself.
Although I like using fresh pineapple in my cooking, tinned pineapple is far more convenient, particularly when baking. Both of my recipes for pineapple bread and pia colada cupcakes are really simple to prepare and have the most delicious, juicy pineapple taste.
A traditional pineapple upside-down cake is also hard to surpass. With additional cherries, please! Another enjoyable approach to use pineapple in your dessert menu is via pineapple pie.
RUM COOKIES
I’m reminded of the delicious Pineapple Rum Cake I baked during a recent Caribbean vacation when I create a pineapple and rum slush. it’s rum It’s a fantastic way to add beach tastes to your food without producing frozen beverages!
You may as well bake a loaf of brown butter rum banana bread while the rum bottle is open. In that recipe, rum and the richness of browned butter were combined to create a fragrant, savory topping for a straightforward loaf of banana bread.
Recipes using Coconut
The rum in these slushies gives them their coconut flavor. There is no need for additional ingredients since the taste is ideal for a pineapple rum slush.
Only a pitcher of Coconut Coolers will do when I’m in the mood for more coconut flavor in a beverage. Since there is no alcohol present, I may have them whenever I want for a sense of vacation!
The majority of the time I consume coconut, it’s in baked goods like chocolate coconut cookies or toffee coconut oatmeal bars. People commonly ask for these coconut-macadamia sugar cookies, particularly around the holidays. And when I presented my Double Chocolate Coconut Cream Filled Bundt Cake at the conclusion of a dinner party recently, my friends who like coconut and chocolate combined raved about it.
