What is Sally’s Baking Challenge, and how does it work?
Sally’s Baking Challenge is a once-a-month baking event. In 2017, I established this monthly baking challenge to connect with readers, build a supportive baking community, and push myself (and readers) in the kitchen. On the first of every month, I post a new Sally’s Baking Challenge recipe and invite readers to bake it during the month. The goal is to assist you in learning new cooking skills, become more creative, and having fun! A winner is chosen at random on the final day of the month. The Sally’s Baking Challenge website has further information and answers to frequently asked questions.
Sally’s Baking Challenge has a mailing list.
For anybody interested in Sally’s Baking Challenge, my team and I have created a special email list. Subscribing is absolutely free, and it just serves to keep you informed when a new Sally’s Baking Challenge recipe is available. You may subscribe using the form below or on this page.
All of the past baking challenge recipes may be found on this list.
The images of the contestants are now featured in each recipe!

Plans for Sally’s Baking Challenge 2023!
I’d want to inform everyone ahead of time that in 2023, we’ll be taking a vacation from Sally’s Baking Challenge so that I may focus on my next cookbook. In addition, the time my team spends collecting submissions for our monthly challenges will be spent trying out new cookbook recipes. Everything is wonderful! This page, along with all of Sally’s Baking Challenge recipes, will continue to exist in 2023, and I will continue to post new non-baking challenge recipes as usual!

Where is Sally from Sallys baking Addiction from?
A: Sally from Sallys baking addiction is probably a reference to the show Sally which aired on Nickelodeon.
What are some good baking questions?
A: You may have heard of the cake mix, but you dont actually need one. The two most important ingredients are flour and sugar! Next its just a matter of what type of frosting you want to make (vanilla, chocolate or strawberry), how much baking powder should be used in your recipe and lastly, whether or not you want to use buttercream icing on top.
How do you bake in secret?
A: Baking is a type of cooking that uses dry, slowly heated heat and baking powder as an agent to produce carbon dioxide gas (CO2) within the food. Cooking at high temperatures creates water vapor which can condense back into liquid water or steam when cooled.
