Ingredients in Churros
This recipe has two parts: the topping and the dough.
Oil: You may fry using vegetable oil.
Topping: To cover the fried dough, all you need is cinnamon and sugar.
The dough is produced using a basic combination of boiling water, sugar, oil, salt, and all-purpose flour to make a warm dough.
Getting the Oil Hot
The first step in this recipe is to get the oil hot. It’s critical to have a candy thermometer on available before frying the dough to ensure that the oil reaches a temperature of 365°F. In a big deep pot over medium-high heat, pour approximately 2 inches of oil. While the oil heats up, make the Batter for Churros by whisking together the cinnamon and sugar on a shallow dish.
Batter for Churros: How to Make It
To create the batter, bring the water, sugar, oil, and salt to a boil. To make the choux dough that is usually used to make churros, add the flour to the hot water.

Fill a second piping bag halfway with the heated batter. Make a little clip at the end of this bag, but not so small that it obstructs the batter’s flow out of the tip. In the bag with the tip, place the batter bag.

Cut a 5-inch piece of dough using kitchen scissors and pipe it into the heated oil. You could add a few extra strips of dough, but I wouldn’t suggest more than three. The dough strips may cling together if the kettle is overcrowded.
Cook for 3-4 minutes, or until golden brown, turning once or twice. Remove the fried dough from the oil with a slotted spoon or metal tongs and drain on a paper towel. Roll the fried dough in the cinnamon and sugar mixture while it is still warm.
Make sure the oil is close to 365°F before continuing with the remainder of the dough. Dropping lovely dough into a too-hot or too-cold oil may be frustrating, and the outcome will be less than ideal. I discovered that keeping a thermometer in the oil at all times was the best method to guarantee that it kept at a constant 365°F.
Is it possible to make churros without using a piping bag or a tip?

- Transfer the churros to the basket of your air fryer in batches, giving plenty of space between each one.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F and air fried the churros for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown.
